Valencia Fallas - Program
Your city guide will meet you at the airport. You will use the transfer to the city for your first sightseeing tour. The bus will take you to the marina, today's sports harbor, and the city promenade. Enjoy the Mediterranean flair of Valencia on a short tour.
After checking into the hotel, the first day ends with dinner together near the hotel. At midnight, you will have your first opportunity to marvel at one of the great night-time fireworks displays. If you are too tired after a long day, no problem! This opportunity is offered every night up to and including March 18
Today is all about the Fallas festival and has a few surprises in store for you. Transfer to the old town in the morning. First you will explore the town hall square from the ground before you can view it from above. Enjoy the impressive spectacle of the "Mascletá" from a balcony with drinks and snacks. The Mascletá is a firework display that takes place in Valencia every day at 2 p.m. as part of major city festivals, particularly the Fallas festival.
Afterwards, things continue with a contrasting atmosphere. At the "Ofrenda" (flower offering for the city's patron saint), you can watch as a 12-metre-high statue is dressed in this year's floral costume. You will also marvel at the imposing silk costumes of the Valencian women. The tour ends in the afternoon in the old town.
If you haven't yet marveled at the nightly fireworks, today is the last and most impressive opportunity. The Nit del Foc (Night of Fire) takes place on March 18 at 00:00. Another firework display that cannot be described in words
After 4 days of Fallas hustle and bustle, a little break is on the agenda today. In the morning, we take the bus to the nearby rice-growing area of the Albufera. The largest freshwater lake in Spain, which is also used to irrigate the rice fields, invites you to take a relaxing boat trip. You will learn all about the beautiful natural surroundings and, of course, about rice, the basis of paella. Afterwards, a typical paella meal awaits you in a small Spanish village.
Strengthened and full of wonderful impressions, you return to Valencia in the afternoon. In the evening, the festive end of the Fallas festival is on the agenda. On the night of March 19 to 20, all the Fallas statues go up in flames. You can follow this spectacle on your own.
Enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the city before your departure. The transfer bus

Las Fallas
An old artisan tradition developed into a festival that can hardly be described in words today.
In March, the city is turned upside down and is characterized by around 800 Fallas figures that take over every street intersection. Thousands of Valencians walk through the streets in their magnificent silk costumes to make a floral offering to the patron saint. Fireworks, parades and music accompany the festival at all times of the day and night. The festival ends with the Crema - a night in which all the Fallas sculptures burn to ashes.
